As far as functionality goes, it is exactly the same, as the classic; however, the new version is more user-friendly, and of course, it is faster.
Overall the user interface has been simplified, and users who do not need access to certain information are no longer shown that information. This helps declutter the screen, allowing the user to focus on what is important to their job while also making the CiraNet experience faster.
For example, in Classic, when viewing information on a vendor, there may have been 8 tabs at the top of the vendor management functionality of different information showing, while in the new management portal, the number of tabs is reduced significantly. See the following screenshots for a couple examples.
At the company level

Information access is limited to only the user, depending on their user permission.
For example:
Checklists are used by managers and not by AP, so they will appear for CAMs but not for AP.
In Classic, there was a lot of excess information that was shown to everyone that was not used by everyone. This bogged down the system and made the overall experience more clunky.
