About 1096 Forms (Filed after 1099 Production)

1096’s are filed electronically by IT after the annual 1099 printing. If any corrections are made to an original 1099 after the January 31st filing, a new 1096 must be filed and these are done manually and mailed to the IRS.

These forms are short and very self explanatory. They require minimal information.

  • HOA Name and Address
  • HOA Tax ID
  • Email address and fax number for accounts payable
  • Number of forms being reported on the 1096
  • Dollar Amount being reported
  • Type of Form being reported
  • Sign, date, mail to IRS address on the form
